Building Readiness Through First Aid Training
At Frigo Stahl, we view safety as far more than compliance with procedures or regulations. It is a core operational mindset that influences the way we work every day, across our offices, facilities, and construction sites.
Driven by this philosophy, we recently completed the first cycle of certified First Aid training seminars, an initiative designed not only to meet statutory obligations, but to meaningfully enhance the emergency preparedness of our teams in real-world conditions.
So far, six intensive 5-hour sessions have been delivered to groups of 10-12 employees, with a strategic focus on personnel working on construction sites, where operational risks and safety requirements are heightened. Our aim is to train a substantially larger proportion of employees than legally required, reinforcing a proactive culture of prevention, awareness, and rapid response.
The program followed internationally recognized CPR protocols and combined theoretical instruction with extensive practical exercises, including AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, choking response procedures, Heimlich maneuver application, and familiarization with emergency devices such as LifeVac. Through realistic simulation scenarios, participants were able to practice and evaluate their response capabilities under conditions closely aligned with real incidents.

Upon completion, participants received the internationally accredited Emergency First Aid at Work GR+ (EFAW GR+) certification from Rescue Training International, ensuring that the training standards remain current, recognized, and operationally relevant.
Beyond the certification itself, the most important outcome lies in the attitude developed throughout the process: the confidence to respond effectively, the willingness to take initiative, and the collective understanding that workplace safety is a shared responsibility. The high level of engagement during the sessions was particularly noteworthy, with employees actively participating in hands-on exercises and even developing a friendly sense of competition around rescue-response performance.
This commitment is also being reinforced through further infrastructure investment, with Frigo Stahl already moving forward with the installation of additional AED units across its facilities. At Frigo Stahl, safety is not treated as a standalone process. It is embedded in our culture — a culture strengthened through continuous training, active participation, and collective accountability.
The next training cycle is already being planned, with a focus on fire safety and evacuation management, continuing our commitment to ensuring that every employee is prepared to respond when it matters most.
