KRI KRI - FRIGO STAHL: Building the Infrastructure for Continued Growth
The strength of a long-term partnership is often best reflected in the projects it delivers over time. We have worked alongside KRI KRI for more than a decade, supporting a period of continuous investment, expansion and increasing production capacity.
As KRI KRI continues to grow, its infrastructure needs to evolve at the same pace. Our role is to ensure that the facilities required for the next stage of growth are in place when they are needed.
This was the objective behind the latest project we completed at KRI KRI’s main production site in Serres.
Creating capacity where it is needed most.
The project included the construction of a new raw materials warehouse of more than 2,000 m², with a clear height of 14 metres.
Behind these figures lies a clear operational requirement: greater storage capacity and more efficient use of space to support the increasing volumes handled by a growing production facility.

We assumed end-to-end responsibility for the project, covering earthworks and foundations, the structural steel frame, insulated sandwich panels and the required mechanical installations.
The warehouse also features high-flatness flooring, designed to support the reliable operation of high-density storage systems, while a fully automatic sprinkler system provides comprehensive fire protection.
Expanding milk reception capacity
At the same time, we developed the infrastructure required to double the facility’s milk reception capacity, including new protective canopies and tanks.
This part of the project presented a different challenge. All works had to be carried out within an active industrial environment, where daily production and operations had to continue without interruption.
As Mr. Spyros Tavlikos, Director of Industrial Projects & Innovation at KRI KRI, explains, “in a facility growing at this pace, technical excellence alone is not enough. A new project has to fit seamlessly into daily operations, without disruption, and be ready when production needs it. With FRIGO STAHL, we work with a partner who already has an in-depth understanding of our facilities and the way we operate. The real challenge was not simply completing the project, but coordinating dozens of different activities while the plant continued to operate normally. This is where the value of having a single partner with overall responsibility for the project really became evident”.
Throughout the project, from the first construction activities to final handover, we remained focused on one objective: turning KRI KRI’s evolving operational requirements into industrial infrastructure that is fully functional and ready to perform.
After more than a decade of working together, our collaboration is built on more than familiarity with facilities and technical specifications. It is built on understanding the direction in which the business is moving.
Because supporting a client’s growth means not only responding to what they need today, but preparing the infrastructure they will rely on tomorrow.
