STELIOS KANAKIS S.A. – a Greek company with more than four decades of experience in the supply of raw materials for confectionery, bakery and ice cream production – entrusted us with the expansion of their facilities in Aharnes, Attica, with a 40% increase in storage capacity and a 25% reduction in energy footprint.

We constructed a new, turn key, 900 m² industrial building featuring four cold rooms and a loading anteroom. Simultaneously, we expanded the refrigeration infrastructure, reconstructed the existing refrigeration system and reconfigured the surrounding area to accommodate the trucks involved in product distribution.

The most demanding aspect of our collaboration was to carry out all these developments while the company continued its day-to-day operations, and we are proud that we successfully completed this project in just seven months, without interrupting the operation of the existing warehouse or compromising the temperature control system.

For us at FrigoStahl, the completion of this investment holds a particular significance. We took responsibility for the construction and mechanical engineering aspects of the project, allowing KANAKIS team to focus on its own business operations.
