Two Different Projects. One Turnkey Partner.
The sustainable growth of a modern food manufacturing facility relies on much more than advanced production equipment. It requires continuous investment in the infrastructure that supports operational efficiency, environmental compliance and long-term scalability.
With this objective in mind, Frigo Stahl successfully completed another strategic project for Olymp-KONSTANTOPOULOS S.A. at its production facility in Katerini, reinforcing a partnership that has been evolving for nearly two decades.
The assignment consisted of two technically distinct projects, executed simultaneously under a single Turnkey contract.
The first involved the structural engineering, design and construction of three reinforced concrete tanks with a combined capacity of 2,500 m³, integrated into the plant’s existing wastewater treatment system. The scope included earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, waterproofing systems and all associated civil engineering works required for seamless integration into the facility’s operational infrastructure.
In parallel, we undertook the engineering design and complete refurbishment of more than 750 m² of existing warehouse space, converting it into state-of-the-art food production facilities.

The project included new industrial flooring, drainage infrastructure, structural modifications and all necessary building works to accommodate modern food processing equipment while fully complying with the industry’s strict hygiene standards.
What made this project particularly demanding was the simultaneous delivery of two fundamentally different construction disciplines by a single in-house engineering and construction team. By maintaining full responsibility throughout the project lifecycle—without fragmenting execution across multiple subcontractors—we ensured uninterrupted coordination, minimal disruption to the client’s ongoing operations and complete control over quality, schedule and cost.
Both projects were completed in just six months, exactly as planned and fully within the agreed budget.
This delivery marks another milestone in a relationship that began almost 20 years ago, in 2006. Reflecting on this long-standing collaboration, Mr. Ioannis Vakalikos, Plant Director of Olymp-KONSTANTOPOULOS S.A., stated:
“Our long-standing collaboration with Frigo Stahl has been built on trust, consistency and mutual respect. Throughout every stage of every project, they have proven to be a dependable partner with outstanding technical expertise and an unwavering commitment to delivering the right result.”
